Art Brut in Nakano, Tokyo
-Exploring creativity and imagination with no boundaries-
The city as art gallery

Starting from February 1st, the shopping areas of JR Nakano station north exit will be transformed into an art gallery. Many large banners and poster reproductions of Japanese art brut will be displayed across the Nakano 'Sun Mall' shopping arcade, and also the now world-famous mecca of animation and modern art fusion, the Nakano 'Broadway' shopping mall, thanks to the enthusiastic support of the management of both shopping centres. The JR Nakano station north exit district will become an outdoor art gallery, exhibiting some very exciting and relevant art. Please come down and take a stroll through 'the city as art gallery'. Watch a new form of culture begin to take shape here in Nakano before your very eyes. We look forward to seeing you!
